With the support of State Social Welfare Board, Government of Odisha, SEHADA has established Family Counselling Centre to provide moral, legal, counselling & referral support to women victims of atrocities. Establishment in the year 1999-2000 and it serves the entire district of Jharsuguda till date.
2. SWADHAR GREH
Victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, unwed mother, trafficking, widow and economic crisis have a place to turn to help in SWADHAR home. SWADHAR has flexible and innovative approach to cater to the requirement of various types of women in distress in diverse situations under different conditions. More specifically it caters to the requirements of the women in distress as regards primary need, shelter, medical, emotional support, counseling, rehabilitation, clinical, and legal support.

Safe Shelter is committed to empowering victims of physical, emotional, and sexual violence by offering information which will allow them to choose their own courses of action and by supporting them as they act on those choices. We are further committed to educating the public on the issues surrounding domestic and sexual violence so that together we may challenge societal attitudes which condone the use of violence as a means of gaining and maintaining power and control over another person.
3. CHILDLINE
CHILDLINE is India’s first 24-hour, toll free, emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection linking them to long-term services for their care and rehabilitation. Any child and concerned adult can call 1098 and access the CHILDLINE service any time of the day or night.

To reach out to every child in need of care and protection by responding to emergencies on 1098 and by physically reaching out to children.
To adapt and integrate telecommunication technology, linking all districts to the service of 1098, and making it available to all children in need of care and protection.
To provide a platform of networking amongst organisations and to provide linkages to support systems that facilitates the rehabilitation of children in need of care and protection.
To work together with the Allied Systems (Police, Health Care, Juvenile Justice, Transport, Legal, Education, Communication, Media, Political and the Community) to create child friendly systems.
vTo advocate for services for children that are inaccessible, non-existent or inadequate.
To create a body of NGOs and Government organisations working within the national framework and policy for children.
To be a nodal child protection agency in the country, providing child protection services to children in need of care and protection.
To set up innovative child protection services leveraging technological advancements in areas where such services are inaccessible, non-existent or inadequate.
To undertake research with the objectives of strengthening the CHILDLINE 1098 service, and studying new and emerging trends in child protection issue.
To contribute and work towards strengthening and participating in a global movement that addresses issues related to child protection and ensures that children’s voices are heard.
4. SWABHIMAN HOME
SEHADA is running the Swabhiman Home with the support of District Administration, Jharsuguda.
The objectives of the home
To provide safe shelter to destitute male and female of Jharsuguda district with dignity
To provide vocational training for self sustainable and counselling them to reintegration
To provide counselling, police assistance and legal support for destitute male and female
To medical support to destitute male and female
5. Railway CHILDLINE
CHILDLINE is India’s first 24-hour, toll free, emergency phone outreach service for children in need of care and protection linking them to long-term services for their care and rehabilitation. Any child and concerned adult can call 1098 and access the CHILDLINE service any time of the day or night. Railway CHILDLINE operated at Jharsuguda Railway station from last July 2019.

6. ONE STOP CENTRE (SAKHI)
One Stop Centres (OSCs) are intended to support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. Women facing physical, sexual, emotional, psychological and economic abuse, irrespective of age, class, caste, education status, marital status, race and culture will be facilitated with support and redressal. Aggrieved women facing any kind of violence due to attempted sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, honour related crimes, acid attacks or witch-hunting who have reached out or been referred to the OSC will be provided with specialized services. OSC facilitate access to an integrated range of services including medical, legal, and psychological support.
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Scheme are:
To provide integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence, both in private and public spaces under one roof.
To facilitate immediate, emergency and non-emergency access to a range of services including medical, legal, psychological and counselling support under one roof to fight against any forms of violence against women.
TARGET GROUP
The OSC will support all women including girls below 18 years of age affected by violence, irrespective of caste, class, religion, region, sexual orientation or marital status. For girls below 18 years of age, institutions and authorities established under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 will be linked with the OSC.
LOCATION
SEHADA implementing the OSC service at 4th floor of District Head Quarter Hospital, Jharsuguda
from last November 2019.
7. Empowerment of women and strengthening their livelihood
Objectives
To bring a change in the overall condition and position of women within the family, society
and ensuring their stake in governance system through equal space and increasing their
access and control over available resources .
The condition will be improved through linking them with different livelihood options and
capacitated them to assert their rights for the livelihood that they are involved at present.
To promote equality for women as per the constitution and provide a space of non
discrimination and non Violence in all spheres.
8. Integrated Community Development for Sustainable Livelihood
Objectives
Improve Access and control to Livelihoods Opportunities of Socially Excluded Communities (SC, ST, Marginal farmers, daily wages labours and among them Women and access to resources for diversification of livelihood options and sustainable development. working on 28 GP of Jharsuguda, Laikera of Jharsuguda district and Bamara block of Sambalpur district.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
1.Celebration of International Women’s Day
International Women’s was celebrated on 8th March in every year at district level.The objectives of the programme is create a platform for women to raise their voice violence against women and wider awareness among women and society on women rights. In this programme,mass awareness rally,grand meeting,signature campaign and felicitation programme for women achiever conduct.
2. “Beti Zindabad” Campaign
To mobilize a sustained implementation and communication campaign for promotion of girl child against the adverse sex ratio, the nationwide campaigns of Action aid titled “Beti Zindabad” has adopted the strategy of harnessing the spirit of young mass and train them as catalysts for social change.
3. Block Level Women’s Meeting/ empowering through women Issues
Women empowering is the prime activities of the organization. Through the women empowering, women issues has been decreasing. Women are fighting for their rights.Block level women meetings are organizing and women are participate in this meeting and raise their issues. They also plan to overcome the issues.
4.Women leadership identify for leadership training
The organization is identifying women from different G.P. for leadership development training programme. After received training programme, they actively takingk part for solve their women related issues in their panchayat level. They are the role model for other women.
5.Capacity building of CBO’s
Capacity building of the various stake holders is a one of Major focus. Because without capacity development stake holder development will not be possible. Development is a process and it needs Capacity of the stake holder. Where CBOs capacity was more than development is automatically come forward. In this connection SEHADA always has given more emphasis on Capacity Building of the CBOs as well as various stake holders.
6.Mass Awareness Camp on Un-organized Labour focusing on women labour
SEHADA has been organizing village level Mass Awareness camp. The objective of the programme was to sensitize people on Un-organized Labour focusing on women labour. During the camp, Definition of un-organized labour and status of labour in present context, Labour contribution for development sector, Govt. provision for un-organized labour, Registration process of Building and Construction labour, Benefits of Registration and financial support by Govt. to labour are discussing among the people.
7.Community mobilization on gender issues
Community awareness generation for gender equality is a transformative process that aims to provide knowledge, techniques and tools to develop skills and changes in attitudes and behaviors. Towards this goal, meeting and orientation programmes are conducting with the selected CBO members to sensitize women and men to understand the role gender plays and to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for advancing gender equality in their daily lives and work.
Since gender training is a continuous and long-term process, the project adopted a strategy of building trained community leaders who will continue the discourse at their level as and when required. The CBO members, SHG women and the PRI members were given intensive training about gender discriminations and the mainstreaming attitude to address those during the training programme. With better knowledge about gender responsive budget, the CBO leaders are able to prioritize the women issue in the panchayat level budget allocation process and also able to make the Panchayat accountable for their budgetary commitment to gender equality.
8.Legal Literacy camp for women and Girls
Now a day’s women and girls are most vulnerable in the society .Every second women and girls victimised in different situation to come forward from the situation and male dominance society and take appropriate action by them self for her safety and security is essential. In this regards their skill and knowledge need to be develop of women and girls on various law for women and girls which is safe guarding their rights. In these situation legal literacy camp are organising regularly.
Beside this above programme,SEHADA has been organizing various capacity building programme for various stakeholders like PRI members,ASHA,GKS member etc.with the support of Government.
