One Stop Centre (Sakhi) – Integrated Support for Women in Distress

With the support of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, SEHADA has been entrusted with the operation of the One Stop Centre (OSC) in Jharsuguda district, located within the premises of the District Headquarters Hospital.

The dedicated building was inaugurated on 4th September 2024, since 7th November 2019 it has been functioning as a vital resource for women facing violence and crisis situations.

The Centre ensures that all services are accessible under one roof in 24 x 7, reducing the trauma of navigating multiple institutions. The initiative is monitoring by state Governments and fully funded by the Ministry of women and Child Development Government of India

About the One Stop Centre Scheme:

• The One Stop Centre (OSC) scheme, part of the larger Mission Shakti, provides integrated support to women affected by violence and distress. The centre offers a range of services, including medical aid, legal aid, counselling, temporary shelter, and police assistance, all under one roof.
